Indian Air Force copter crashes in J&K, one dead

New Delhi, April 22, IRNA -- An Indian Air Force (IAF) Cheetah helicopter on a training flight crashed near the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri Sector of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Thursday killing one pilot and injuring another, official sources said. According to local media reports, the helicopter crashed near Baaz post around 12:00 noon reportedly due to bad weather. While a Squadron leader was killed in the crash, a Flight Lieutenant was injured, the sources said. The injured officer was shifted to army hospital in Srinagar. This is the second air crash involving IAF within a month. Earlier, two Jaguar fighters had crashed near Sonamarg due to bad weather killing both pilots. 2160/213 End
