Helipro Joins the IAI-ARGOS Team to Provide Support for IAI Tamam' Day/Night Optronics Payload

Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd. Tamam Division and Argos Vision Systems have reached agreement with Helipro International to provide full product support for Tamam' POP 200 day/night/laser pointer optronics payload for the law enforcement market.

The POP 200 is a modular, lightweight, gyro stabilized observation system for surveillance applications that is installed on various airborne vehicles including helicopters.

Argos Visions Systems is the U.S. distributor for the IAI Tamam POP 200 for airborne law enforcement and other applications. Tamam and Argos chose Helipro International and their nationwide facilities to provide product support, including in and out of warranty work, integration and installation services. Helipro will also provide video recording and downlink installations for the POP 200 on fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

Mike Druet, President of Helipro International, said "This opportunity was a logical extension of our total program of aircraft structural, electronics and avionics support. Work on the POP 200 system is a nice fit for our current capabilities."

The POP 200 will continue to be marketed by Argos Vision Systems for law enforcement customers. Argos will manage the support program provided by Helipro.

Tamam is a world leader in developing optronic sensors. Hundreds of Tamam' systems are in service with the U.S. military and and security agencies and with other armed forces around the world.

Argos, located in Yorba Linda, California is a designer and integrator of surveillance systems, weapons sights and combat management systems for Special Operations Forces and domestic first responders.

Helipro SE, located in Andalusia, Alabama, is an industry leader for full airframe rewires, component wire harnesses and upgrade services.

The POP 200 will be on display at the Israel Aircraft Industries booth at Heli Expo in Las Vegas.
