CACI Awarded $70 Million Subcontract to Provide Integrated Logistics Support to U.S. Navy Fleet
Arlington, VA, March 2, 2004 — CACI International Inc (NYSE:CAI) today announced that it has been awarded an estimated $70 million subcontract from EG&G Technical Services of Gaithersburg, Maryland, a division of the URS Corporation of San Francisco, California, to support the U.S. Navy's Fleet Technical Support Center, Atlantic (FTSCLANT). Under terms of the contract, CACI will provide integrated logistics, project management, training, and other services to ensure that the Atlantic Fleet is properly equipped and operational. This award continues CACI's long-time work in naval logistics and extends the company's core line of engineering and logistics business.
Since 1997, CACI has helped maintain the Navy's Atlantic Fleet Integrated Logistics Overhaul operations, designed to improve ship readiness by accurately identifying and updating a unit's operating equipment and parts inventory. The contract calls for CACI to help plan maintenance systems and procedures, update technical manuals, and provide personnel training as necessary to operate and sustain the Fleet.
CACI was specifically selected by EG&G for its ability to provide integrated logistics overhaul, operational and post-availability logistics, technical documentation, and supply management. CACI also offers expertise gained through direct experience with Navy programs such as Fleet Assistance and Shipboard Training, and with clients such as the Naval Supply Systems Command, the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Systems Center Norfolk, and numerous Commander Fleet Forces Command units.
"We look forward to working alongside our partners at EG&G," said Ken Johnson, CACI's President of U.S. Operations. "CACI understands the complexities of Navy Fleet Command and Operations, and our expertise in personnel, equipment, and program management will help the Navy remain prepared and on alert 24/7."
Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, CACI Chairman, President, and CEO, said, "CACI offers the Navy proven solutions in engineering and logistics, developed over years of support and designed to meet ongoing Navy requirements. As always, we are proud to offer our services and support to help America's Armed Forces stay strong and ready to respond at a moment's notice."
