Jaguar crashes in India`s Rajasthan, pilot killed

New Delhi, Feb 26, IRNA -- Indian Air Force, Jaguar plane crashed in Pokhran, killing the pilot in the western Indian state of Rajasthan Thursday morning, police said. According to local media reports, the IAF Jaguar which had taken off from air station in Jaisalmer in the western Indian state of Rajasthan Thursday morning during the training exercise for next month`s air show, crashed near the field firing range of Pokharan. The pilot died in the accident, police added. This is the third air crash of the month in which IAF has lost MiG 21 and also MiG 23. In India, 172 MiG series have crashed in the last ten years. And 62 percent of fighter crashes were MiG-21 variants. 2160/AH/210 End
