Lockheed Martin, CACI, EAI, Fluor and IEM Team for DoD Installation Protection Program
MANASSAS, VA, February 20th, 2004 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] today announced a team with world class capabilities and experience to address the critical and diverse needs for the Department of Defense Installation Protection Program (IPP).
IPP is a $1.1 billion initiative to provide U.S. military installations with integrated chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) protection and response capability. Managed by DoD's Joint Program Manager, Guardian, the IPP will enhance force protection at 200 prioritized installations worldwide over the next five years. A contract award is expected in April 2004.
Leveraging extensive Lead Systems Integrator (LSI) expertise with advanced modeling, engineering, training and site support skills, the Lockheed Martin-led IPP team provides tailored capabilities packages to each installation, depending on its mission and needs, and maximizes CBRN protection, response and restoration in the event of an attack. The team will increase long term system viability by constantly seeking to lower lifecycle costs and improve usability.

Members of the Lockheed Martin-led team have been co-located and working together since August 2003. This close working relationship allowed the team to develop the right kind of processes and toolset to allow successful implementation of the IPP program.
CACI International Inc. (NYSE: CAI), an experienced IT and network solutions provider, brings both systems engineering and modeling/simulation expertise to the team.
