Attack leaves five Spanish soldiers injured in Iraq

MADRID, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Five Spanish soldiers were slightly injured Wednesday in a blast near their base in the southernIraqi city of Diwaniyah, but they are currently in no danger,Spanish military authorities said.
They were returning to their base in Diwaniyah when a bombexploded injuring the five soldiers and a translator, the sourcessaid.
On Nov. 29 seven Spanish secret agents were killed in an ambushin Iraq.
The Spanish soldiers belong to the non-belligerent contingentof the Plus Ultra Brigade stationed in Iraq to maintain securityduring the reconstruction.
