Iran builds border outposts in Afghanistan

Tehran, Feb 7, IRNA -- The Islamic Republic of Iran has completed the construction of ten border outposts in Harat province of Afghanistan, said an Iranian official Saturday. "At present, installing equipment and relative devices is under way in the border outposts and they are going to be inaugurated and put into operation soon," added Deputy Governor General of northeastern Khorasan province for security and disciplinary affairs, Golestanifar. Pointing to the construction of other border outposts in Nimrouz and Farah provinces in Afghanistan, he said that the inauguration ceremony of the outposts and Milk bridge in Sistan and Baluchestan province will be held in due time in the presence of senior officials of interior ministries of Iran and Afghanistan. "Given the level of mutual cooperation, it has been scheduled that the issue of training special police force for campaign against puppy cultivation in Afghanistan would be followed up," the official added.
