
General Dynamics Network Systems Opens New Facility in San Diego
NEEDHAM, Mass. – In San Diego today, General Dynamics Network Systems opened a new facility to provide technical support for aircraft carriers and surface ships assigned to the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Fleet. General Dynamics Network Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).
This new facility, at 7365 Mission Gorge Road in San Diego, is staffed by 32 General Dynamics Network Systems employees. They provide program management, engineering support, equipment integration, industrial resources and quality assurance for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Commander Naval Surface Pacific Fleet (CNSP) and the Commander of Naval Air Forces (CNAF). These employees are an extension of a Norfolk, Va.-based General Dynamics Network Systems Fleet Modernization team.
General Dynamics Network Systems designs and builds complex communications networks and provides comprehensive IT services for government and private-industry customers. The company’s more than 6,000 skilled technical personnel provide design, integration, installation and managed services for enterprise, wireless and space-based networks.
