Last night, the Abu Ghurayb prison was attacked with two mortar rounds. Paratroopers on a combat patrol were in the area and immediately moved to the site. After conducting a cordon and search, they captured 11 individuals and confiscated three AK-47s and flares.

This morning, paratroopers from 3rd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, conducted a cordon and search of a target house northeast of Fallujah to kill or capture a named target suspected of conducting rocket attacks on coalition field operating bases.
