A 20-member US naval delegation on a visit to India

New Delhi, Jan 29, IRNA - A 20-member US naval delegation, led by the Commander of the US Navy`s Pacific Fleet, Admiral Walter F Doran, arrived in Kochi in the Southern Indian State of Kerala on Thursday to have a look at the training facilities at the Southern Naval Indian Command and Infrastructure facilities at the Cochin shipyard. The team, immediately on arrival in a US military special aircraft from Vishakapatnam in Southern Indian State of Andhra Pradesh, left for the Southern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Yeshwant Prasad, reported Press Trust of India on Friday. The Admiral also visited the Anti-Submarine warfare school and the Navigation and Direction (N&D) school at the naval base to see the training facilities. Indian Naval sources said, the team was `extremely happy` with the facilities at the command. They also visited the Cochin Shipyard to assess the infrastructural facilities and were received by the yard chairman and managing director, Commodore M.K.Murthy. 2160/MM/212 End
