US military transports new supplies through Antwerp to Iraq

Brussels, Jan 27, IRNA -- The United States Armed Forces are at work in the Belgian port of Antwerp with the transfer of new infantry and supplies to Iraq, local radio RVI reported Tuesday Quai 1241 of the port is crowded with US tanks, helicopters and other equipment. Over the next six months, some 100,000 American soldiers will return to military bases in Germany to be replaced by new units. One year ago, several protests were held against the use of Antwerp`s port for the transport of military goods to Iraq, noted the radio. NK/AH/210 End
