TASK FORCE "ALL-AMERICAN" CONTINUES OPERATIONS, RECRUIT TRAINING

RAMADI, Iraq - During the last 24 hours, Task Force "All American" conducted 195 patrols (including 12 joint patrols) and conducted cordon and searches in Yusafiyah, Mahmudiyah, Iskandaryah, and two in the vicinity of Fallujah, wounding one and capturing 18 enemy personnel.

Last night at 8:30 p.m., Abu Ghurayb Detention Facility was attacked with 20 to 25 indirect rounds. There were no casualties or damage to equipment as result of the attack.

Task Force "All American" continued training 329 border police and 240 police recruits throughout Multinational Division (West) and completed processing 520 Iraqi Civil Defense Corps (ICDC) recruits at the Navea Training Center and Forward Operating Base Junction City. Two hundred and seventy-six ICDC graduates are also undergoing advanced training with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team (BCT).

Civil affairs personnel with 3rd BCT met with members of the newly formed Fallujah Provisional Authority Council to discuss an economic renovation program and a $750,000 grant approved to fund two public sanitation projects in Fallujah.

The soldiers of Task Force "All American" continue to provide a safe and secure environment for the people of the Al Anbar province. Their efforts in rooting out former regime elements and hostile groups, as well as working directly with the populace in reconstruction projects will help build a secure and stable future for Iraq.
