
General Dynamics Selected by Lockheed Martin to Provide IT Services in Support of Air Force IT Contract
NEEDHAM, Mass. – General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has been selected by Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) to partner in providing information technology (IT) support services under its new contract with the Air Force Pentagon Communications Agency (AFPCA).
Under this program, General Dynamics Network Systems (Needham, Mass.) and General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (Arlington, Va.) will provide a broad array of services intended to assure the availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation of Air Force information systems. Offerings include information assurance; computer, emission and network security; multimedia services; IT enterprise engineering support; and telecommunications monitoring and assessment programs.
The Lockheed Martin team also will provide managed services and classified voice, video and data assistance, as well as call center operations, VIP requirements, classified systems support, program management and engineering, and information assurance.
Customers served by AFPCA include officials at Headquarters Air Force, the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the National Military Command Center (NMCC), plus several other government agencies who work with DoD. The contract is a fixed price incentive fee/award fee contract (with a six-month transition period and nine option periods). The AFPCA contract awarded to Lockheed Martin has a potential value of up to $600 million.
