
General Dynamics to Partner with NCI Information Systems on Army IT Enterprise Solutions Contract
NEEDHAM, Mass. – General Dynamics Network Systems will provide information technology (IT) support to the U.S. Army’s enterprise infrastructure as a member of the NCI Information Systems, Inc. team that was recently awarded the Army’s Information Technology Enterprise Solutions (ITES) contract. General Dynamics Network Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).
ITES is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract comprising a three-year base period (including 60-day phase-in) and two, two-year option periods. It is designed to support the Army in achieving its enterprise infrastructure and infostructure goals with state-of-the-art, information technology equipment and IT services.
Under ITES, General Dynamics will support enterprise IT policy and planning, enterprise integration and consolidation, information and knowledge, engineering, business process reengineering and integrated solutions management.
The award, which falls under Functional Area Two of the Enterprise Mission Support Services Solutions contract, has a value ceiling of $500 million dollars. The contract is sponsored by the Army Small Computer Program (ASCP) and was awarded by Army Contracting Agency ITEC4 (Information Technology, E-Commerce, and Commercial Contracting Center).

For this contract, NCI has assembled an award winning team of subcontractors that, according to David E. Gardner, NCI's Senior Vice President of Corporate Sales and Marketing, “will be able to provide a full spectrum of value-added solutions to support the Army, transformation, network centric and enterprise integration initiatives anywhere in the world."
