Israeli Army chief to visit India soon

New Delhi, Nov 19, IRNA -- Israeli Army chief Lt. Gen. Moshe Dallaan is likely to visit India early next month to discuss ways of closer cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries. According to the Press Trust of India (PTI), Dallan`s visit comes two months after the visit by Israeli Premier Ariel Sharon to India. Highly placed army sources said during his talks here, the two countries would work out a schedule of joint exercise between the armies of the two countries. A high level Israeli armed forces delegation is in Indian Capital holding talks with its Indian counterpart on working out the schedule of Dallaan`s visit as also supply of sophisticated armaments like sensors, unmanned aerial vehicles and specialized small arms to India. The delegation held talks with the Vice-Chief of Indian Army Staff Lt. Gen. Shantanu Chowdhury as well as top Naval and Indian Air Force brass. /211 End
