General Dynamics Awarded Contract for Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration Services

SUFFOLK, Va. – General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has received a five-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a total potential value of $19.7 million to provide management and technical support services to the U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) for advanced concepts technology demonstrations (ACTDs).

ACTDs provide new and transformational operational capabilities that will make a difference to warfighters in response to important joint requirements. General Dynamics has been supporting USJFCOM ACTDs since 1996.

Support and services provided by General Dynamics under this contract may include analysis and validation, concept of operations development, demonstration and exercise planning and execution, conduct of Joint Military Utility assessments, transition to acquisition and fielding, and interagency interoperability analytical support.

The contract consists of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The base period ceiling of the contract is valued at $3.6 million. General Dynamics will perform work under this contract at locations in Norfolk and Suffolk, Va. Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Detachment, Pa., is the contracting activity.
