48 Israeli pilots, co-pilots ask Sharon not to free Deyrani
IRNA
Beirut, Oct 30, IRNA -- 48 reserve Israeli pilots and co-pilots on Wednesday asked the Zionist Regime`s Prime Minister Ariel Sharon not to free one of the Lebanese resistance officials, Mustapha Deyrani. The Zionist Regime`s Radio Tel Aviv claimed in the news on the issued that Deyrani is a member of Lebanon`s Mo`meneh Resistance group and the Israeli pilots have requested Sharon that if the prisoner exchange deal would not include the Missed in Action (MiA) Israeli flight navigator Ron Arad it won`t be fair to free Deyrani either. The pilots and co-pilots who have written the letter to Sharon had all been arrested during their years at military service and released from prison later. Arad`s warplane was downed in southern parts of Lebanon in 1986, and there has been no reliable news about his whereabouts since then. In 1994, the Zionist regime`s commandos arrested Deyrani in his own house in Qasr-un-Naba` village in the eastern part of Lebanon, accusing him of being informed of Arad`s destiny, and hoping to get information on that regard under tough conditions out of him. Nine years after Deyrani`s arrest on that baseless accusation, the Zionist forces have come up with the positive conclusion that he really had nothing to do with Arad`s case, and that the continuation of his arrest will do them no good. That is the reason why they have included him in the prisoner exchange list. Three Israeli military officers, and one Zionist intelligence officer are in Lebanon`s Hezbollah resistance custody, who are going to be exchanged with 16 Lebanese and 400 Palestinian detainees.
