NATO SHIPS TO VISIT NAPLES

Naples, Italy - Four ships of NATO's Standing Naval Force Atlantic (STANAVFORLANT) will anchor in Naples Bay from 5 to 6 October 2003. The visit will give the Commander and operational staff the opportunity to hold meetings with NATO Headquarters staff in Naples before the Force sails to the Eastern Mediterranean where it will conduct Operation Active Endeavour, which has been NATO's maritime contribution to the fight against international terrorism since October 2001.
The Commander of STANAVFORLANT, Commodore Richard Ibbotson, Royal Navy, who is embarked in the Flagship, HMS Cornwall, will command Task Force Endeavour from 9 October 2003.

HMS CORNWALL, frigate, United Kingdom (Flagship)
USS DOYLE, frigate, United States
HNLMS TJERK HIDDES, frigate, Netherlands
FGS NIEDERSACHSEN, frigate, Germany
