Indian troops on alert along Jammu border

New Delhi, Oct 1, IRNA -- Indian troops along the Indo-Pak border hav been put on high alert in the wake of surprise raids by Pakistan army`s sabotage Border Action Teams (BATs) that attack Indian posts to push heavily armed militants in Jammu and Kashmir, top Indian defense sources said on Wednesday. According to Press Trust of India (PTI), an Indian News Agency, "Pakistan troops have started a fresh game-plan of conducting raids by its specialized sabotage group, BATs, that target Listening Posts and Border Patrol along the Line of Control (LoC) in order to engineer infiltration of heavily armed militants into Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). In one recent attack, Pakistani soldiers of its BAT team raided a border patrol of Indian regiment after crossing LoC in Jangard area of Noushera sector in Rajouri district and killed four Indian soldiers. In view of these raids, Indian troops have been put on high alert and security of early Warning Posts (EWPS) and Listening Posts (LPs) have been upgraded to foil any such attack without casually along LoC and International Border, the sources said. /211 End
