Six persons killed, 25 injured in Srinagar blast

Srinagar, Sept 6, IRNA -- At least six persons were killed and 25 injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast triggered by militants here in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Saturday morning. Official sources here said the explosion took place at 9:00 a.m. (local time) at Parimpura Fruit market in Srinagar. The IED were kept in an autorickshaw, the sources said, adding that the injured were rushed to the local hospital. No militant group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. /213 End
