
General Dynamics to Continue Support of Air Force Information Warfare Center
ARLINGTON, Va. – General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded a contract to provide professional, engineering and other information warfare services in support of the operations, acquisition and testing activities of the Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC), Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract is worth up to $252 million over five years. General Dynamics and five other prime contractors will compete for individual delivery orders in systems planning, feasibility studies, system engineering, analysis, prototyping, software development, verification, validation, documentation, software maintenance, systems integration, and systems testing.
This contract was awarded in the name of Veridian Information Solutions, which became part of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems on August 11 as part of General Dynamics’ acquisition of the Veridian corporation.
"The award of this contract continues a decade-long partnership during which we have provided a wide range of expert technical and operations support to the Air Force Information Warfare Center's information operations, information warfare and intelligence missions," said Bob Farrell, vice president and general manager of the Information Solutions unit. "The acquisition of Veridian by General Dynamics means that we will be able to both broaden and deepen the capabilities and expertise we offer to the information warfare center and our other customers."
