Pakistan troops leave for Turkey to participate in joint exercise

Islamabad, Aug 31, IRNA -- A batch of Special Service Group of Pakistan Army was despatched to Turkey Sunday to participate in Pakistan-Turkey Special Forces Platoon Level Joint Exercise commencing Monday. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement the group comprising up to fifty personnel including seventeen officers will participate in two-week long exercises in Turkey. Local media said the exercises are primarily aimed at planning and conduct of special operations including anti-terrorist and mountain training. The exercise is also designed at mutually benefiting from the professional skills employed by the two special forces, said the ISPR statement. TSH/215 End
