Kashmiri leader wants Pakistan to join talks

Islamabad, Aug 25, IRNA -- Kashmir`s All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman Maulana Abbas Ansari said he never gave any statement to keep Pakistan out of first phase of dialogue between India and APHC. According to The Nation, an Islamabad-based newspaper, the APHC chairman called as distorted an interview in which he was quoted as saying that there must be intra-Kashmiri dialogue prior to involving Pakistan and India in dialogue on Kashmir issue. Ansari said Kashmir issue could not be separated from Pakistan, especially when half of its territory is in that country. Pakistan has also fought three wars. So there is no question of such a possibility, the APHC chairman was quoted as saying. MHA/TSH/212 End
