
Chechnya: Five Russian Soldiers Killed
Moscow, Aug 15 (NCA) -- Russia's Interior Ministry says five Russian soldiers were killed when their vehicle was blown up by a remote-controlled mine in the Vedeno district in southern Chechnya.
Five other Russian soldiers were reported wounded when Chechen separatists opened fire on troops who survived the blast.
The Russian regional operations headquarters in the north Caucasus reported that Russian troops killed three Chechen separatists and captured five others in search operations overnight.
