The White House issued the following statement following the July 5
terrorist attack in Moscow:

Statement by the Press Secretary
The United States strongly condemns the terrorist attack today in
Moscow. President Bush extends the sympathies of all Americans to the
victims and their families.
No cause justifies terrorism, and as long as innocents are threatened
by terror, the fight against this evil will continue. The civilized
nations of the world will prevail.
