Russian officials say a vehicle filled with explosives has blown up near a government building in the capital of Chechnya. Early reports say the apparent truck bomb has killed at least one person and wounded several others. Russia's NTV television says five people are missing.

The building near the blast housed the justice ministry of the Moscow-backed Chechen administration.

Last December a car bomb destroyed a government headquarters in Grozny, killing at least 70 people. Earlier this month a woman suicide bomber blew up a bus, killing herself and some 14 others.
