Pratt & Whitney Oklahoma City To Provide Maintenance and Repair for Lockheed Martin F-117 Stealth Fighter Components

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., June 17, 2003 -- Pratt & Whitney’s (P&W) Military Aftermarket Services (MAS) group received a contract from Lockheed Martin to provide a number of specialized support services for parts on the Lockheed Martin F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter. The contract covers the application of special technology coatings on F-117 exhaust system airframe components, and is active now through early 2004. Work will be performed at P&W MAS’ advanced facility located on site at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK. The order represents the largest contract to date for work performed at the facility since it was opened in October 2002. Further, it represents the first contract for P&W MAS for non-engine services.

Pratt & Whitney military engine models include the F135 for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter; the F119 powering the F/A-22 Raptor; the F117 for the C-17 Globemaster III; the F100 for F-15 and F-16 fighters; the J52 for the EA-6B Prowler; the TF33 powering AWACS, Joint STARS, B-52, C-141 and KC-135 aircraft; the TF30 for F14 and F111 fighters; the PT6 for T-6A and UH-1N aircraft; and JT15 for the T-1A trainer and Pegasus UCAV.
