USS Stout and Nicholas Depart on Deployment

NORFOLK, Va. (NNS) -- More than 600 Sailors aboard two Norfolk-based ships will deploy June 16. The guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55) and the guided-missile frigate USS Nicholas (FFG 47), will deploy to the Mediterranean Sea to maintain a routine presence in the region.
Stout and Nicholas will participate in regional exercises with allies, make diplomatic port calls and be available to serve in the war on terrorism.
