68TH CHEM. SOLDIERS RETURN FROM CENTCOM JUNE 4

FORT HOOD, Texas - Nearly 150 soldiers from the 1st Cavalry Division's 68th Chemical Company return from the U.S. Central Command's area of operation, with hundreds of friends and loved ones on hand to greet them.

A Welcome Home ceremony is scheduled for late Thursday night in the Abrams Field House. The unit deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom on Feb. 9.

Media members interested in covering the homecoming ceremony must arrive at Fort Hood's 79th Street Gate no later than 10 p.m., Thursday, June 5. 1st Cavalry Division public affairs representatives will escort all media members from the gate to the Abrams Field House. Due to the fluctuation of flight arrival times, the ceremony may occur as early as 11:30 p.m., or as late as 1 a.m., Friday, June 6.
