CACI Awarded $11 Million Army Electronic Warfare System Task Order by U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command
Company to Join Government Team in Development of Tactical Electronic Warfare System
Arlington, Va., April 29, 2003 — CACI International Inc (NYSE:CAI) announced today that it has been awarded an estimated $11 million task order to support the U.S. Army Communications-Electronic Command in its execution of the first phase of a U.S. Army electronic warfare (EW) system. The primary objective of this engineering support task is to form a joint government-contractor team to develop, deliver, and transition a tactical EW system.
In phase one, the team will focus on risk reduction and mitigation efforts and aggressively pursue multiple solutions and alternatives approaches to accomplishing key performance parameters. The efforts will include hardware, software, logistics, and operations studies.
The culmination of phase one will be a highly refined specification for the recommended design phase to be accomplished under a subsequent task. Successful completion of this effort will lead to the development, fabrication, installation, integration, test, documentation, training, and delivery of tactical EW vehicles as designed by the joint development team.
According to Ken Johnson, CACI's President of U.S. Operations, "The U.S. Army Communications-Electronic Command requires precisely the kind of rapid-response prototyping CACI excels in. Our legacy of support for the Command gives us a deep functional understanding of the electronic warfare environment, and our technical expertise enables us to offer the best mix of traditional and innovative solutions to deliver low-risk solutions effectively and on time."
