- SECOND SERVICEMEMBER DIES IN AFGHANISTAN CENTCOM 25 Apr 2003 -- A second U.S. servicemember has died at 12:30 a.m. today as a result of injuries sustained during a rocket attack by enemy forces east of Fire Base Shkin near the Pakistan border in Paktika Province.
- CJTF-HOA Commander meets with Ethiopian and Kenyan officials USMC News 26 Apr 2003 -- Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) Commander Maj. Gen. John F. - President Signs "Clean Diamond Trade Act" Washington File 26 Apr 2003 -- President Bush has signed the "Clean Diamond Trade Act," which implements steps to exclude so-called "conflict diamonds" from international trade while promoting the legitimate diamond trade, the White House announced on April 25.
- KASHMIR/BOMB VOA 26 Apr 2003 -- In Indian Kashmir, three Islamic militants and two security personnel were reported killed Saturday in an attack on the state-run radio and television station there. There has been a surge of violence in the insurgency-wracked region over the past week.

- W-H-O/SARS VOA 26 Apr 2003 -- The World Health Organization says it is critical that Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, known as SARS, be prevented from spreading to developing countries, where it could rage out of control. The W-H-O says the number of SARS cases worldwide has risen to more than 46-hundred, including more than 270 deaths.
