CACI Awarded Estimated $100 Million-Plus Contract With U.S. Army Forces Command
Company Is Prime Contractor on $650 Million Multiple Award for Operations, Planning, Training, and Resource Support Services
Arlington, Va., March 20, 2003 — CACI International Inc (NYSE:CAI) announced today that it has been selected as a prime contractor to support the United States Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) on the $650 million, multiple-award Operations, Planning, Training, and Resource Support Services (OPTARSS) contract. CACI anticipates the value of its award to be more than $100 million over the life of the contract. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract was awarded for one base year and four option years. OPTARSS positions CACI to significantly expand its business with the U.S. Army on tasks that range from project management support and training to information technology and homeland security.
FORSCOM, headquartered at Fort McPherson, Georgia, is the Army's largest major command. It trains, mobilizes, and deploys combat-ready forces worldwide. The OPTARSS contract assists the Army in providing services and support throughout the United States in 12 major task areas. These include project management services to help run Army installations and combat training centers, planning and execution of troop mobilization, training services for everything from databases to weapon systems, and anti-terrorist assessments and force protection training for Army installations.
CACI offers FORSCOM the benefits of its significant expertise in all OPTARSS task areas, as well as in-depth familiarity with the FORSCOM mission and environment. CACI currently provides support to FORSCOM Headquarters at Fort McPherson and has personnel located at Fort Hood and Fort Lewis, where thousands of FORSCOM personnel are located. CACI also leads a team of OPTARSS subcontractors with a comprehensive solution set that assures FORSCOM of complete capabilities for every requirement.
