Command announces Red Flag cancellation
LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. (ACCNS) -- Air Combat Command has cancelled the
Red Flag exercise originally scheduled to be held later this month at Nellis
Air Force Base, Nev., due to emerging Air Force deployment requirements.
Red Flag, a realistic combat-training exercise involving the armed forces of
the United States and its allies, is conducted on the bombing and gunnery
ranges at Nellis.
The exercise lasts two, four or six weeks depending on its specific purpose
and is held several times a year.
