TWO NATO E3A AWACS SET TO ARRIVE IN TURKEY FEBRUARY 26

Two NATO E3A AWACS Early Warning Aircraft will arrive at the Konya Turkish
Air Force Base tomorrow, 26 February. The first aircraft will land at
approximately noon.
Media who wish to cover this event are invited to be at the front gate
of the Konya air base at 11:00 a.m. (11h00) local time where they will
be registered and transported to the NATO Forward Operating Base. This
opportunity will conclude at approximately 2:00 p.m. (14h00)
The second AWACS aircraft will arrive later in the day and will not be
available for media coverage.
These aircraft are deploying as part of measures following NATO Defence
Planning Committee’s authorisation to implement, as a matter of
urgency, defensive measures to assist Turkey.
