  • IVORY COAST VOA 23 Feb 2003 -- Political leaders in Ivory Coast are discussing possible rebel participation in the government under terms of a French-mediated peace accord. Meanwhile, a rebel leader has threatened to resume fighting, if the agreement is not fully implemented.
  • SRILANKA/PRIME MINISTER VOA 23 Feb 2003 -- Sri Lanka's prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says Tamil Tiger rebels should be allowed to join the state police, military and judiciary as part of a final political settlement to the island's ethnic conflict. The Sri Lankan leader says his government is determined to continue with the peace process, which began a year ago.
