PEARL HARBOR, HI--Winners of the 2002 Battle Efficiency "E" award for the Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet were named recently.
"The competition for Battle Efficiency awards was extremely tough," said Rear Adm. John Padgett, Commander Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet. "Each crewmember of an award winner can be justifiably proud of their contribution to improve Pacific Submarine Force readiness."
Winners include USS Charlotte (SSN 766) of Commander Submarine Squadron One, USS Olympia (SSN 717) of Commander Submarine Squadron Three, and USS Tucson (SSN 770) of Commander Submarine Squadron Seven. All three submarines are homeported in Naval Station Pearl Harbor.
