Court Prohibits DOD A-12 Collection

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – The United States Court of Federal Claims ruled today that its judgement of August 31, 2001, in the A-12 matter has been stayed, thereby prohibiting the collection of any monies by the Department of Defense from General Dynamics and Boeing pending the outcome of the current appeal of the A-12 case.

In reaching this decision the court noted that collection of monies would not be in the national interest, particularly at this time.

The court added that the issues on appeal are substantial and the appeals court will want to closely examine a number of these issues.

General Dynamics, headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, employs approximately 54,000 people and anticipates 2002 revenues of $14 billion. The company has leading market positions in land and amphibious combat systems, mission-critical information systems and technologies, shipbuilding and marine systems, and business aviation.
