HONG KONG -- The USS Constellation Battle Group arrived in Hong Kong today for a scheduled port visit. While there, the approximately 7,700 crewmembers of the ships will have a chance to sightsee, shop and enjoy recreational activities.
The Constellation Battle Group is conducting a regularly scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean, enroute to the Fifth Fleet area of responsibility in the waters around the Southwest Asia area.
Ships accompanying the San Diego-based aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CV 64) include the guided missile cruisers USS Bunker Hill (CG 52) and USS Valley Forge (CG 50), guided missile destroyers USS Higgins (DDG 76) and USS Milius (DDG 69), the fast combat support ship USS Rainier (AOE 7) and the guided missile frigate USS Thach (FFG 43).
