Lockheed Martin Awarded $3 Million Contract for Pentagon Physical Security System

GAITHERSBURG, MD, October 7th, 2002 -- Lockheed Martin has been awarded a one-year, $3 million contract to install and maintain a Pentagon physical security system designed to protect classified information and other assets within the building and other facilities in the national capital region. The Intrusion Detection and Alarm System (IDAS) secures facilities in and around the Pentagon that house vital, highly-classified Department of Defense information. The Defense Contracting Command awarded the IDAS program, an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery contract with a one-year base performance period and a six-month optional period.
