BAE SYSTEMS awarded $51 million U.S. Army contract

BAE Systems has been awarded a $51 million contract from the U.S. Army to provide logistical support and services to the U.S.Army Garrison, Hawaii. The contract represents strategic new business growth in the Government outsourcing arena and in the areas of operations and logistics.

Under the five-year contract, BAE Systems Technical Services will provide support in the functional areas of maintenance, transportation, supply and services for organizations attached to the U.S. Army Pacific and the Pacific Basin. Work will be performed and managed by Technical Services personnel at Schofield Barracks and Fort Shafter on the island of Oahu and at the Pohakuloa Training Area, Hawaii. Corporate support will be provided from company offices in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

"We look forward to supporting the Army Garrison and creating a high performance partnership as the Garrison moves forward to meet mission challenges of the 21st century."
