
General Dynamics Awarded $9 Million Contract Modification for Technical Support
ARLINGTON, Va. – General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), announced today that it has been awarded a $9 million modification to an existing contract to provide technology support services to the Joint Command and Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Battle Center in Suffolk, Va.
Work will be performed in Suffolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 2003. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity. The contract being modified was originally awarded in October 1998 and was valued at $43 million.
General Dynamics, headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, employs approximately 54,000 people worldwide and had 2001 revenues of $12 billion. The company has leading market positions in land and amphibious combat systems, mission-critical information systems and technologies, shipbuilding and marine systems, and business aviation.
