BAE SYSTEMS receives $37.5 million contract to support U.S. Stratcom air vehicle planning system

BAE Systems has received a $37.5 million contract from U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) for engineering services and on-site support of the Air Vehicle Planning System.

The Air Vehicle Planning System (APS), developed by BAE Systems Mission Solutions, is a full fidelity force-level mission planning system that performs autorouting and analytical functions in support of the nation's Single Integrated Operational Plan and Conventional Air Launched Cruise Missile planning.

Marshall Banker, president of the Mission Solutions business unit said, "APS is an extremely flexible product which will be responsive to advancements in military planning guidance for future weapon systems. We are pleased to be selected to provide our expertise in support of this programme for the next five years."

Engineering services will be performed at BAE Systems facilities in San Diego and Bellevue, Nebraska. On-site support will be conducted at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.
