
General Dynamics Awarded $23.6 Million Contract for Bradley Transmissions and Turret Drive Systems
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has received a $23.6 million contract from United Defense for 142 Bradley HMPT 500-3ECB transmissions and 142 turret drive systems.
This award represents the second year of a three-year Bradley multi-year contract that, when fully exercised, is valued at $76.5 million.
Work will be performed with the existing workforce at the General Dynamics Land Systems facilities in Muskegon, Michigan (68%); Tallahassee, Florida (24%); and in Scranton, Pennsylvania (8%). The program will be managed by General Dynamics Land Systems’ Propulsion Systems operation in Muskegon, Michigan.
Deliveries will run from February 2003 through February 2004.
