- ISRAEL / PALESTINIANS VOA 09 Mar. 2002-- A fresh wave a violence has hit Israel, with at least 15 people killed and more than 80 wounded in two separate incidents. A suicide bomber attacked a cafe in Jerusalem, and two gunmen fired on a beachfront hotel
- ZIMBABWE / VOTING VOA 09 Mar. 2002-- Zimbabweans went to the polls Saturday to vote in the country's hotly contested presidential elections. Violence flared at some polling stations in Harare as voters lost patience with long, slow-moving lines at polling stations.
- TERROR / SAUDI PEACE PLAN VOA 09 Mar. 2002-- When the members of the Arab League gather later this month in Beirut, one of the major topics for discussion will be the proposal recently offered by Saudi Arabia that calls for Arab recognition of Israel if it withdraws from land it captured in the 1967 Middle East war. While many Arab governments, including Syria and Lebanon, have expressed interest in the plan, there have been few comments from the groups that have actually been fighting Israel
