• US/AFGHAN VOA 09 Dec. 2001-- America's top military officer says U-S forces know in general where Osama bin Laden is hiding in eastern Afghanistan. Air Force General Richard Myers, chairman of the military Joint Chiefs of Staff, made the comment on U-S television Sunday.
• AFGHAN/FIGHTING VOA 09 Dec. 2001-- U-S led air attacks have intensified over the Tora Bora region in eastern Afghanistan, where fighters of Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaida group are reportedly hiding in mountain caves

Myers Says U.S. Will Follow al Qaeda Leaders Wherever They Go 09 Dec. 2001-- Well, let me just caution again that it's -- bin Laden is not -- not the target, it is the network, his al Qaeda network. Clearly, he's part of that network, but he's not the sole target. And as I've said many times, if we capture bin Laden this afternoon our time, things will not be over.
