General Dynamics Announces WIN-T Team Members

Diverse Companies Bring Unparalleled Expertise and Innovative Technology For The Future Warfighter Information Network - Tactical

TAUNTON, Mass. – General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) today announced the member companies of the team it will lead to compete for the U.S. Army’s Warfighter Information Network – Tactical (WIN-T) program. The WIN-T system will enable mobile, secure and survivable command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities for the warfighter. The system will support multimedia tactical information with seamless interoperability.

Under the name "Team MATRIX," the General Dynamics team includes: BAE Systems, Wayne, N.J.; DynCorp, Chantilly, Va.; General Dynamics Communication Systems, Taunton, Mass.; General Dynamics Decision Systems, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Laguna Industries, Laguna, N.M.; Log.Sec Corporation, Warrenton, Va.; Northrop Grumman Information Technology – Defense Mission Systems, Herndon, Va.; OPNET Technologies, Bethesda, Md.; Solers, Arlington, Va.; Veridian, Fairfax, Va.; and Verizon’s BBN Technologies, Cambridge, Mass. Most recently, General Dynamics has signed a contract with the U.K. Ministry of Defence for the BOWMAN tactical communications program. This work will ensure interoperability with a key ally, the United Kingdom. The company also has had successes with the IRIS program in Canada and the Mobile Subscriber Equipment program for the U.S. Army. General Dynamics was chosen to provide the communications infrastructure in support of the Army’s efforts to digitize the battlefield with state-of-the-art command and control systems.

DynCorp offers solutions in network management, information systems, information technology and technical services. DynCorp brings to the team its expertise in network management and systems integration from DISA’s Integrated Network Management System (INMS) and the Army’s Joint Network Management System (JNMS).

General Dynamics Decision Systems is a leader in technologies, products and systems for information assurance, communication and situational awareness. It brings experience in commercial and military wireless communications, software defined radios, satellite communications and C4ISR systems to the team.

Laguna Industries, Inc. offers a wide variety of high-tech manufacturing and technical services.
