(Modifies planned travel to Asia in October) (150) The White House September 25 announced that President Bush will attend the Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Shanghai in October as scheduled, but is postponing planned stops to Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing. Following is the White House statement: (begin text) THE WHITE HOUSE Office of the Press Secretary September 25, 2001 STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY President's Travel to APEC President Bush has modified his planned travel to Asia in October. The President will attend the APEC Leaders Meeting in Shanghai on October 20-21 as scheduled, but is postponing planned stops in Tokyo, Seoul, and Beijing.
