INTRO: Across the country, federal agents are pursuing possible leads from Tuesday's terrorist attacks. Some of those leads have taken investigators to Florida - specifically, to a flight training school in the state. V-O-A's Michael Bowman reports from Miami.

TEXT: Details of ongoing investigations are sketchy, and federal officials have revealed few details of their efforts so far.

However, in a news conference (Wednesday), Attorney General John Ashcroft said terrorists aboard the aircraft used in Tuesday's attacks received flight training in the United States.

It appears some of that flight training may have taken place in Florida.

The F-B-I has contacted a Florida man who until recently worked for Huffman aviation school in Venice, Florida. Charlie Voss says agents questioned him regarding two men who stayed with him while receiving flight training last year. News reports say a car registered to the two men was found at Boston's Logan Airport, where two of the ill-fated flights departed Tuesday.

One of the men is believed to have resided at one time in Egypt and may have been aboard one of the aircraft used in the attacks.

Federal officials have seized student records and other documents from Huffman aviation. They have also searched a south Florida apartment.(SIGNED)
