  • Singapore to Purchase 12 Additional Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbows Boeing 23 Aug 2001 -- The Republic of Singapore has signed a letter of offer and acceptance with the U.S. government for 12 additional AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopters. The terms of the purchase option, signed this week, have not been disclosed.
  • Boeing Delivers U.S. Army's 200th AH-64D Apache Longbow Boeing 23 Aug 2001 -- The U.S. Army today accepted its 200th AH-64D Apache Longbow multi-mission combat helicopter from The Boeing Company. Boeing delivered the helicopter during a ceremony at the company's rotorcraft center in Mesa, Ariz., where Apaches have been produced since 1982. The delivery comes less than two years after the 100th U.S. Army Apache Longbow was delivered on Dec. 9, 1999.
  • Northrop Grumman to Develop Lithium-Ion Battery For Advanced Seal Delivery System Northrop Grumman 23 Aug 2001 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been awarded a $4 million contract by the U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) for the development and integration of lithium-ion battery technology for the U.S. Special Operations Force's new Advanced SEAL Delivery System (ASDS).
