'GREEN PINE' Radar Used For Enhancing The Country's Air Defense System

Paris Air Show, June 2001 - IAI/ELTA's EL/M-2080 'Green Pine' Radar system is a transportable ground-based multimode solid state phased array radar.
In addition to its tasks within the 'Arrow' system, this advanced all-weather radar is capable of enhancing the country's Air Defense System at national level.
The 'Green Pine' Radar is capable of predicting with precision Impact Points of dozens of incoming Tactical Ballistic Missiles (TBM) enabling early warning of the civil population in endangered areas.
The system also calculates location of the TBM launching point, enabling real-time counterattack of the TBM Launchers.
The 'Green Pine' Radar has potential interoperability with any other Air Defense System by tracking accurately all missile types.
The modular, solid state active array technology implemented in the 'Green Pine' Radar provides high redundancy, graceful degradation, high reliability and high availability.
